Collographs (Printmaking) for Kids
Here’s a great place to start printmaking with kids. Students create collographs using simple materials and print with tempera paint.
Each student designed their own collograph, created it, and used it to create a print. They each started with an idea and were coached through the creative process to create these works. Just look how different they all are! That's how you know the students were the ones really doing the creative work! The teachers coached the student through the process, but the students ultimately expressed their own ideas through this medium by creating these works
Students learned about collographs for printmaking and about the differences in woodblock printing and collographs.
